First off I would like to say this new forum is awesome very good and I am very happy to find it and it looks great and has a Turok atmosphere to it for sure. Anyway..

For those who dont know Turok actually originated from the comic series. The first comic was released in October of 1954. Yes way before I was born :) But still I am a huge fan of these comics they were original. And the dinosaurs always made it very interesting. For anyone who hasn't read one of them I suggest that you do. They are a type of comic that pulls you in and not only for the cool art it has.

Any other fans of the Turok comic out there ?

Yeah I think  the Evolution comic was just to go along with the game  was pretty good to. My favorites are for some reason the older ones that is Turok Son of Stone . I dont know why but it just feel and looks so original so retro. A lot of the cover art for these comics are really good for time and even now. Glad to hear from you good to see !

I personally like the "Turok: Dinosaur Hunter" comics as my favorite I think the art was really there with these. Also i'm not 100% but I think these came after Son of Stone comics series. Which I am really enjoying atm. I ordered a few from ebay lost the big lot though heheh. All of them are good though and interesting and I am not even a comic kind of guy ! welcome buddy hope you enjoy.

Oh yes the Dinosaur Hunter series are great and more updated then Son of Stone. They are great at least the ones that I have read. Im working on building my collection of them also :) I need to get that last comic picture you posted looks like a good one !

Yeah. I love the Turok series, comics, books and games. Of course, the games are what draw us in, and then sooner or later we get hooked by the comic books.

 Has anyone seen the 2008 animated feature?

I know of the movie you mean Son of Stone right ? Pretty cool movie I am actually awaiting it in the mail right now haven't seen it in years. I have seen it before but never owned, now I need it in my collection they should make another one. There is Turok, blood, and dinosaurs a good combo for an animated movie indeed!

Oh yeah I own this movie  its a great item to add into the old collection. But yeah Dinomite I agree it wasn't that good but still pretty bad ass that it even exists. Me im waiting for my next Son of Stone comic in the mail Duke :D

I absolutely love the original Son of Stone and Dinosaur Hunter comics. Along with Spawn and Savage Dragon, they're what got me into comics to begin with. I've got a huge stack of the Dinosaur Hunter run on my desk (0-49) and I'm working on getting all the Acclaim Turok comics, which the games were based on.

I'm also in the middle of getting all the new Turok comics from Dynamite, but I've kinda lost enthusiasm for it after the first arc.

I have read all the Turok Dinosaur Hunter comics in the Vallient series, and most of the comics in the Acclaim series. I do have to say that my favorite comic is the Turok Shadow of Oblivion comic. Also, the one i have been trying to track down with little success, is the comic that came with i think was a strategy guide (?) I could be wrong, but i have not read all the Turok 2 comics yet, so there could be something i'm missing.

There are three comics that might fit your description: the comic in the back of the first game's instruction manual, Way of the Warrior, and two magazines with comics in them, Seeds of Evil and Adon's Curse.

Yeah I like the comic that comes with the Turok Dinosaur Hunter game manual. Wanted to say welcome to new members nice to see for Turok.

I just got most of these in today and I am excited so I took a picture of all the ones I have here it is 28 in total. Here I mostly have Dinosaur Hunter comics which are my favorite I know it's a little blurred but it was a quick shot and the sun was shining today :)

In polish tv I watched in early 90's Main character also look a little like a Turok :D

Yeah that is a nice cover right there dude you should post more its sort of annoying trying to look at the covers on sites and google images is misleading.

You guys know there is a comic for Evolution and its really rare to, I don't have it but look it up on Ebay dude. Dino you would probably really like that one buddy

Damn I lost on ebay for 42 Dinosaur Hunter comics :/ so close! In fact it told me I won for a second then it switched so fast wow. Well at the least I made someone pay more money then they planned xD

I printed it out and it actually looks pretty good maybe I will frame it. But what would be nice is if someone painted this even if it was based off a tracing. This would be awesome to see in color.

A printed copy of that sounds cool, since its nearly black and white it should be able to print a decent picture as well as getting some nice special paper. If its thick paper sketch painting is probably possible.

That is a really cool cover right there. Turok is the man he is saving the chick holding is bow at the same time about to fight a Trex. I don't think I have seen that comic before though.

 This is a great cover damn that girl he is saving is hot. Also, yes I see the girl falling by the PG symbol xD I don't think she is coming back from that one.

Man, #31 - 33 was a weird arc. Pretty much all of Dinosaur Hunter's stories had their share of crazy fun (Chichak and Ripsaw using Triceratops to harvest Marijuana, Captain Red and his crew's antics, Turok going undercover as a fake miracle-cure peddler to track down a chinese druglord who owns a Bionosaur) but after issue #27 things just got strange. I think at this point Truman just wanted to see how much crazy shit he could put in the comics before anyone got a leash on him.

The absolute most ridiculous arc in my opinion is still when Turok, Andy and Regan are captured by a tribe of Nazi Women who plan on putting Hitler's brain in Elvis's frozen body. Oh, and Bigfoot was working for the Nazis.

How many comics do you think you have and do you have any doubles? heheh

I've got a few extra copies lying around if you want 'em, dude.  :) # 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, and 28.

Well, #27 was just after Birthquake, and I'm pretty sure most Valiant titles went a little off the deep end after it ended. :P

I remember reading the comics a lot when I was younger, I was a 90's kid so Valiant/Acclaim is the comic versions I grew up on regarding Turok. Is there a collected edition of these comics?  ???

Unfortunately, no. There was an advertised TPB scheduled for February '98, but it was pushed back to that September before it was finally canceled. It would have included the first two monthlies and the comic found in Dinosaur Hunter's manual.

EDIT: To clarify, that's for the Acclaim run. Valiant's series didn't even get an only-advertised collection. :P

How much comics There is for Turok ? I got the #0, 1-47 and some others in ebay pack.

I started to read the first comics and it's really cool, apparently, he got the Tek-Arc hehe, it reminds me really the style of the game, even with the aliens ! Fun !  ;D

I'd be interested in them too.  Who actually owns the rights to those these days?

I've read a few Turok comics but I'm a little intimidated by the sheer number of them to get into buying them seriously.  I'm in the UK and they're not cheap here... :(

I'd assume Dynamite Entertainment has rights to republish the older material, but if they don't, I'm not clear on who does.

The Evolution tie-in's comparatively cheap, as long as you aren't chasing after the EB Games variant. :P  *Pre-post addendum: Or at least it was. It usually hangs around $4, but now I'm seeing $11-$25.*

Any way to get the online-only comics? (basically the comics showing the events from the games)

The online comic is floating around in an archive somewhere out there on the internet. That's the best I can do without uploading it myself, and I'm not sure if that's an acceptable practice. :V

What is Issue #1 and #2 of Turok Son Of Stone ? Is it this "Giant Comic" who has 84 pages ?

Issues 1 and 2 are actually Four Color Comics 596 and 656, respectively. Son of Stone wasn't its own series at the time. The Giant issue is a separate thing that reprints select stories from various other issues.

And I would advise against posting links for comic downloads.

I continued to read Turok Dinosaur Hunter (VALIANT) and the story is really cool, i like when hero are not super hero with overpowered power and can deal with gadget or gun like Turok (or just with a little buff or a few power or magic but not a lot).
If i remember ,the mother-god made Turok stronger than what he was? What happened yet? Or it was just the Tek-Bow?
Im in turok "mode" again, i started to play the GB games too xD

I like how this comics has so much action but a story too, pretty well mixed!
