Diddy Kong Racing Custom Track - Sunfire Sanctum
« on: May 07, 2018, 08:48:29 PM »

================================================================

Title : Sunfire Sanctum
Date Completed : 5-6-18
Filename : Sunfire.xdelta
Author : Sixty Four
Email Address : duke64nukem@gmail.com

Misc. Author Info : I used original Doom textures from Doom 64 and worked with GZDoom Builder to create the layout of the track model.
Before putting it into Blender. I made this so that I could test more fetures and more game mechanics.

Tested: Taj giving the balloon at the end of a race/ what makes it work on the N64.

Description : A Sanctum temple with Doom 64 hellish textures.

Additional Credits : Goldeneye Setup Editor. GzDoom Builder. Blender. And people/places who support DKR.
================================================================

* Play Information *

Race Type: : Standard Race
Adventure Mode : Yes (Taj Gives the Ballon in adventure mode)
Tracks Mode : Yes
Multiplayer : Yes (No battle mode of course lol)
New Sound : No
New Music : No
New Textures : Yes
Vehicle(s) : Car/Hovercraft
Emulator Compatible : Yes (Project 64 2.3.2.202 used for Testing)
N64 Compatible : Yes (Everdrive 64 V3 used for testing)

* Construction *

Base : From Scratch made in GZDoom Builder and modified in Blender.
Editor(s) used : DKR Setup Editor
Known Bugs : I think on hardware some of the textures can show minor visual issue?
Possibly due to the Doom 64 textures being a lot more define than the standard DKR textures. Not sure yet.

Important Notes : The Intro before race is sort of long, but I'm still discovering that mechanic.

Installation : Apply an xdelta patch to the xdelta file and run the rom on your choice of hardware.

Diddy Kong and his friends continue their journey through hell. They believe that they can return to their universe via a temple called the Sunfire Sanctum, which by legend is connected to the Turok Sanctum. Will they make it or will the fires consume them for eternity?

This is really damn cool seeing Doom 64 in Diddy Kong Racing that's something I thought i would never see in life lmao. Sets such a different tone I like the color shading of orange you have on this amazing job just bad ass. Cool to know it works on N64! I got to get an everdrive64 someday.

Lol yes Sanctum is life! Cool video.

Awesome track 64 you're legend! Wow I can imagine Turok textures in DKR going to be cool.

Thanks everybody! Means a lot i'm just having fun doing these its been a great time for me.

If you have Everdrive64 or another N64 cart that runs roms give it a try on N64!

Update: Starting as of May 8, 2018 Turok Forums is officialy Diddy Kong Forums!!!

Lol never but I actually was thinking about starting a DKR forum but it would have a section for other N64 modding no lie lol. But I think keeping it here and sharing on the other places i'm on is working out fine. But still I do wish there was a DKR dedicated forum spot all about DKR and theme based on. That's how much I like this game lol.
