All console commands + shortcut commands
« on: January 02, 2016, 05:20:32 PM »
Lets put em all together here. Can we gets explanation for em too? Any missing here?

For activating multiple console commands you can put em into
config.txt (create it and add it into main folder with executable)
that activated ti in console via command
read config.txt

set fov 70
(can be set 45-90 values)
set 3dshadows 1
(will this works without changing 3DSHADOWS=FALSE on TRUE in turok2.ini?)
set cameraoffset 2
(what is this? I found it on some turok site)

-MaxFramerate
(-MaxFramerate 60 will change FPS no 60 and I put 70 or 120 it still go show 60 with Fraps. Any more info for settings here?)
-disableAmbientSounds
-disableFrequencyControl
-output44k
-output22k
-output11k
-enableHardwareMixing
-AllDrivers
-fpgaming
-Benchmark
-FrameRate
-FrameTime
-SkipConfig
-Configure
-version
-EnableF12ScreenGrab
-noRoll
-NoShutdown
-GotoGame
-gamepad
-cyberman2
-vertical
-horizontal
-spaceorb360
-keyboard
-quickmouse
-mouse
-joystick
-NoSound
-ShowAllDemos

I'll try cyberman and setcameraoffset.
Well that didn't work

Set 3DShadows 1 does indeed work without using the ini.

Cameraoffset is the offset of the camera. (It moved the camera backwards from the player's collider (In local space not world space))
It is a floating point value that is from -10.0 to 10.0

Examples:
Setting it to 10:
http://prnt.sc/axqxya

Setting it to 0: (Likely the default)
http://prnt.sc/axqya8

Setting it to -10:
http://prnt.sc/axqyjv
Many of the commands that start with - do not seem to exist. Could you give me more info on them?

Also, the lookradians variable (0-0.5) seems to be helpful.

Okay, so all of the commands starting with a "-" are shortcut/launch commands.

MaxFramerate changes the FPS cap (This seems to work with D3D!)

FrameRate shows the In-game FPS display, which is hardly accurate.

The output 11,22,44k modify the sound output HZ

enableHardwareMixing (To put it simply) makes the sound processed by hardware (Such as a sound blaster?) rather than software. (Read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardware_mixing)

I am unsure what AllDrivers does, it likely has something to do with video or audio hardware.

fpgaming did not seem to affect anything.

Benchmark runs all of the demos then tells you your avg fps.

FrameTime is the same thing as FrameRate except your FPS is expressed in the amount of MS every frame is on the screen.

SkipConfig immediately starts the game.

Config does nothing, as you already see the config menu.

Version tells you when the version of the game you're playing was built last.

EnableF12ScreenGrab captures an image of the game in the .ppm file format and creates a "PICS" folder in the T2 directory.

noRoll seems to make Raptoids no longer roll out of the way when being attacked sometimes? (Possibly used for debugging?)

NoShutdown didn't seem to do anything, it possibly was a fix for people running older versions of windows and trying to play the game.

GotoGame didn't seem to do anything either, I thought it would possibly automatically load a savegame or spawn you in game but it did not.

gamepad was quite likely used to test or configure gamepads.

cyberman2 enables the use of the Cyberman 2 controller.

Vertical and Horizontal change the sensitivity. (?)

spaceorb360 enables the use of the Spaceorb controllers.

keyboard is for keybinding (?)

quickmouse does nothing.

mouse is for keybinding

joystick is for keybinding

NoSound disables sound

ShowAllDemos runs all demos.

Well that didn't work

Wait, there are not commands such as Fly or to pass through walls?

No but you can look through walls by setting your camera offset to < 0
Well that didn't work
