Turok 2 TexturMod "Ultra64"
« on: July 21, 2017, 02:15:25 AM »
As the title suggest i am working on a texture mod for the remaster.
It had it's second release already, since i am working on it since may.

You can download it here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/t2soe-ultra64

I did a few hundred textures in this few months and am quite exhausted now honestly ^^
It would be nice if i could find other people here to join in on the effort, or other projects who want to fuse are welcome as well.

The textures look really awesome. 1 gig of textures wow. I'll try it out now. Although I'm not sure I can run it without a Nintendo Ultra 64 to play it on :P

Edit: I don't like that the download is .exe file and my anti virus says bads things so I won't be trying it out after all unfortunately. If you get a .zip download I'll try it again.

Yeah, finally made it here  :D
The entrails texture is made of an actual iguana btw, it was not harmed in the process of course.

Of course an Ultra64 clocked at 4ghz would provide the ultimate experience, but any recent gpu with at least 1gb of ram will do just fine :P

Ok, i've uploaded a .zip for you: http://www.moddb.com/mods/t2soe-ultra64/downloads/ultra64-v02-zip-file

Although the .exe is really just a self extracting 7zip archive, so you could extract it this one with 7zip as well, if you like.

Nice job here thanks for sharing I had an Iguana he was my buddy :) Also, good idea giving us a zip file. I put this on turok sanctum using the zip file. Going to try this out today. Good job!

So, enough of the laurels and over to the serious things of life  ;D

I'm ashamed to admit it, but to finish Ultra64 i am in need of help.
Turok 2 has so many textures i am currently overwhelmed.

To exact here is what still needs to be done:

- Weapon textures (or even whole new models if someone can do that?)
- Fire textures (the "Thief HD mod" has nice ones, i tried to contact the creator "Bentraxx" with no luck so far)
- Worlds 5 & 6 need more textures too, i am in lack of good source textures here (too little fitting stuff to photograph where i live)
- and the Flesheater portals of course
- the rest of the enemies & bosses

Ideas?

I'm not any good at textures but if I were I would help. There was another person working on a texture mod named Dakuwan I would try reaching out to him. Or even Gael Romanet. Those two could probably help here. But I last checked they were doing there own things. Good luck :)

Not sure of how much help this is going to be, but this guy is/was working on a texture pack for Turok 2 on Project 64.

I still have his first texture pack which only missed some enemies, maybe you can find him and help each other?

Looks neat. I can't do much with textures so I can't help you with what you're missing, however, if it is possible to add normal maps, that would be great.
Well that didn't work
