I bought a convention sketch from the amazing artist Matt Frank a week ago, and he finished it today! Thought I'd share it with you guys, figured you'd also love to see TUROK VS VERTIGO!!!

Original Turok, Josh, and Tal'Set making their first re-appearance in comics in nearly two decades! Even Joseph (2008 Turok) is here! This was an awesome surprise from Dynamite on top of the other fan service in this run so far.

Turok Comics Discussion / Re: Are the Dynamite Comics Really That Bad?

Dynamite's Dinosaur Hunter started out decent but got worse with every new arc. I still can't believe that an official comic about Turok being Robin Hood is a thing that actually exists, who thought that was a good idea?. I haven't read Alliance beyond the first two issues or Sovereigns but the new Turok run actually looks promising, fuck yeah evil dinosaur men!

I wish they'd pick a design for Turok and stick with it. He looked great in Alliance, a modernized take on his original Gold Key/Valiant look.

Its weird that in the comics, the campaigner wasnt nearly as epic as what you find ingame. He doesnt even reapper as far as i know.

VH1 Campaigner is pretty badass, actually. He beats the crap out of Turok, who probably would've lost the fight without Seer cheapshotting the Campaigner from behind with magic. He shows up later in Dinosaur Hunter #36, as part of a nightmare where Turok is assaulted by all of his villains one by one.

I was surprised Mon-Ark was the most recurring villain of the Valiant series, yet ingame is nothing more than a generic enemy.

He's not in the game unfortunately, those are just generic unnamed Bionosaurs. But there's an idea for a mod: Mon-Ark bossfight!

Most recurring villain award goes to Longhunter.

Ordered the book last week, and it arrived today. Haven't sat down to really read it, but I did flip through it some to see if I could find an answer for you. I'm not sure what you're looking for as far as "attacks," but bug-face chooses an old sabre as his weapon against Joshua Fireseed.

Just skimmed through it myself. Yeah, the Confederate Campaigner doesn't have too many special abilities/attacks. He's a master swordsman, and is strong enough to knock dudes unconscious with one well-placed punch. The alien parasite covering him is incredibly tough, rendering him nearly invulnerable to physical harm. Due to their symbiotic bond however, if the Campaigner overexerts himself, the parasite grows weaker, and the armor loses it's effectiveness.

I wonder how long it'll take for someone to make Turok versions of Hollywood Holocaust, E1M1 Hangar, and Seppuku Station once the editing tools are out? Really eager to see all the cool custom maps people come up with, too.

The Longhunter: It's interesting to know why he's aligned with The Campaigner. Obviously, The Campaigner could give him what he wanted in exchange. You'd wonder if The Campaigner was using him like the Primagen did with the Purr-Linn, by plotting to end them once their service was no longer useful. Then, Longhunter may have already been apart of Campaigner's army. To me, Longhunter seems more like a hired hand.

Longhunter (Israel Crockett), like Campaigner, was another villian from the Valiant comics. They never worked together (hell, Longhunter didn't even get to Lost Land until after Campaigner was defeated). Longhunter had the most appearances out of Turok's rogues gallery, pretty much taking the role of Turok's nemesis.

In the game, there probably isn't really any reason why Longhunter serves Campaigner; like the Bionosaurs he's just another cool character adapted from the comics. Though if you want to head-canon it, you could say this version of Longhunter and Tal'set share the same relationship as their Valiant comic counterparts, and Longhunter took the job just for a chance to kill the Turok.
