Turok Dinosaur Hunter Modding/Mapping / Turok: Dinosaur Hunter Overhaul

Something I was working a long time ago. So basically it was an overhaul for the level but eventuality i was supposed to to finish the rest of the game but I gave up due to a problem I have in-game.

Changes from Base Game:
  • Added More Enemies
  • Edited Enemies Health
  • Diverse Enemies
  • Added & Removed Pickups
  • More objects in the world rocks plants trees etc

Enemy Health:

Poacher - Changed its health from 14 to 9.

Campaigner Soldier - Armored Soldiers have 24 health instead of 14 & Armorless Soldiers have 9 instead of 14

Campaigner Sergeants - Sergeant's have 100 health instead of 75

Alien Infantry - Stationary Infantry have 30 health instead of 60 & mobile infantry health is unchanged

1.5.4 Patch Notes

Renderer / Graphics
====================
Fix darkcity and rainbow cheat crash,
Improved render resource management,
Fix random DX11 crash on application startup,
Fixed viewport/scissor issues for UI elements,
Uniform buffers for OpenGL is now disabled by default for new users,
DirectX is now the default graphics API for new users,
Tranclucent surfaces in superrok mode are no longer affected.

Single-Player Gameplay
======================
Cerebral Bore sound now loops properly,
Correct music is now played for the first Oblivion cinematic,
All cinema camera models are now hidden,
Failsafe check for final stage for Blind Boss,
Turning while riding is now faster/responsive,
PFM death animations now works,
Can no longer mantle into water regions.

Local and Network Multiplayer
=============================
Any tracking cerebral bores are destroyed when the targeted player respawns.

Renderer / Graphics
====================
DirectX support (can be set in graphics option menu),
Animating models can now have vertex color buffers: this fixes the lighting on the queen pods in the queen boss level,
Deferred lighting and decals now display correctly in splitscreen,
New option to set anisotropic filtering quality,
Reworked how the credits screen is rendered. This should resolve rendering artefacts for some users.

Local and Network Multiplayer
=============================
Players on the same team as the local player have their name highlighted green,
Players on the same team can no longer trigger each others PFMs,
Players on the same team can now spawn next to each other,
Crossbow should now damage in water,
Balance tweaks to Firestorm Cannon: minor damage reduction and increased ammo consumption.

Turok General Discussion / Why Isn't TUROK popular

Lets be honest here, why isn't Turok as popular as other franchise. They have everything ranging from Comics, Toys, School Books, Books, Video-Games, stamps, a street named after Turok even clothing!.
I cant not wrap my head around this, how can this IP not be as Popular as Banjo Kazooie, 007 Golden Eye or Metroid. The lack of Fan-Art is really crushing to me......

What are your taught about this.

Other Games / My toughts on Night Dive Studios

I really dont like this company and the way they handle the turok games and after giving taught to it i really don't want to touch Turok Evolution and the rest of the Turok games. I mean how can they deliver a game that has bugs while the original had minor issues. Here are the things that disappoint me :

  • Multiplayer Maps, they didn't bother to port all of them and just gave us a mediocre amount. All maps from PC and N64 should of been present on day of release
  • Animation, no damage animation, no leg amputation
  • Infighting is broken, enemies just walk towards each other and most of the time just ignore each other
  • weapon damage, it took me 12 shotgun shells to take down a stationary Endtrail like 15 meters away from me
  • Tranquilizer Gun doesn't have a working scope
  • some MP weapons are not even in the game

Not really a constructive critic but i felt i needed to share this, I mean they had a complete game on their hands but they still proceed and mess it all up.
