The problem is, if they want make new Turok game, they made game in new standards, I mean max 2 weapons and shitty gameplay.
A modern Turok title would be great.I would love to see a game that goes through the timeline of the Turoks and their stories, until the lost land is saved, yet again. Basically something with proper story vs gameplay pacing that is very fast paced and crazy; creative weapons as well.
Thread necro because I had an idea at work today. One of the random things that seems to circulate through the internet when regular people discuss Turok is the fact that Joshua Fireseed had an uncle, Carl, who was the previous Turok (I dunno why this fact is so prevalent considering it's comic-exclusive and not brought up in the games at all, but I've seen it a bit).So in the Acclaim comics, Carl becomes Turok when Joshua's dad disappears. But in the game continuity, his dad doesn't disappear; Joshua's parents were killed in a car crash when he like 15 or something. So I say let's have a Turok game where you play as Carl that does one of two things: either1. The car crash was a targeted hit by the Dinosoids to take out the Turok lineage, and Carl takes up the mantle for vengeance-related reasons (this assumes Carl is the younger brother like in the comics). Or2. The crash was still a targeted hit by the Dinosoids but instead meant to demoralize Carl, who in this would already be the current Turok and would then go kill stuff for vengeance-related reasons (this assumes Carl is made the older brother and also that the Dinosoids are pretty stupid to think that this plan would work).I imagine the player starting in Oklahoma City and having to fight Dinosoids to track down whoever/whatever would give direction to whichever part of the Lost Land the Dinosoids are currently inhabiting. The Dinosoids would be a large force, well-armed and organized. It could even be the game version of the Amaranthine Accordance, so I guess kinda like the Sleg army but with more ridiculous sci-fi tech and an equal amount of religious fervor. Unfortunately for them, Carl dismantles their operations in a less-than-peaceful manner. Could maybe be an explanation as to why the Dinosoids so willingly join with the Primagen a few years later: they're not as strong as they used to be.Included among whatever the weapons would be are the Timefire arrows. In the Lost Land, they work like regular arrows, but on Earth, they immediately transport the enemy to the Lost Land like in the comics. This rids the player of an immediate threat but has the potential to backfire on them at a later date in the Lost Land levels if they transport multiple enemies. Not sure how limited these arrows would be, because they're kinda OP but tl;dr1. Play as Carl Fireseed, seeking vengeance against the Dinosoids that killed your family2. Dinosoids are organized like the Sleg w/ crazy weapons3. Levels both on Earth and in Lost Land4. Fancy Timefire arrows that can permanently remove an enemy from an Earth level but deposits them in the Lost Land to fight later
