All of that looked amazing. I hope that someday you'll be able to come back and finish things up. I was looking forward to the update, but I guess I'll just have to play through the mod again to help me get over it. :P

Turok Rage Wars / Re: 'Official' Rage Wars boss profiles?

And yeah, I've skimmed the Turok Wiki and gotta give it praise for actually citing its sources, which is more than some Wikis do!

Thank you! I do my best, but there's only so much one person can do.

Best I can tell, David Boyle was one of Acclaim's main strategy guide writers. His name's attached to the guides for Shadow Man: 2econd Coming, WWF Attitude, and Vexx. Might be more, of course, but that's all I've found.

It doesn't exist! :V

Wikipedia and TVTropes are both massively incorrect about the plot of Valiant's Dinosaur Hunter series, and I have no idea where it came from either. It's like they took that story, mashed it up with the games, and added a bit of Magnus, Robot Fighter and called it a day.

But yeah, whoever it was is mistaken and is splicing the comics and the game together.

Not at all! The guide was written by David Boyle. And yes, each character has their own little blurb, though the bosses and named characters have the most information. If you wander here and scroll to the list of appearances, each character link (minus the War Club) will take you to a Rage Wars-specific page that has the bio from the guide written as its intro (or at least it should; let me know if I missed any of them).

Hello again! These bios are from the official strategy guide.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply!

Looks like this wouldn't be the first or last inadvertent cliffhanger in the pre-reboot comics... Bit of a shame, but I've gotta give Acclaim props for even *trying* to be such a legit multimedia company at the time.

Thanks again!
No problem! If you're interested, track down Christopher Priest's ebook KLANG! A Writer's Commentary. There are a few scripts from unpublished issues of his series Quantum and Woody that feature our favorite Fireseed and what happens when dinosoids manage to steal the Light Burden (essentially, you get the Shadowman to take care of them).

Unfortunately, it was never completed, so these three parts are it.

As a ROM, yeah, but this is a ~piece of history~ :P

And I know that some people have had trouble in the past finding the Seeds of Evil comic magazine, so here's one that's pretty cheap.

Turok Dinosaur Hunter Modding/Mapping / Re: Turok: Mountain of the Sun

thanks for playing it! I gave up with trying to get the collision to work correctly with the rope shots, just keep trying you get it after a couple shots. Yeah that water room I could make better by making the elevators wider, but then I'd have to resector that whole room so I said no to that and just reduced the players speed by half while in them.
Oh no, I didn't mean the water elevators, I was talking about the little stone platforms that stick out of the sides of the room. I could stand on them fine, but as soon as I touched the wall, I dropped through them. If it's going to be a pain to resector, though, then don't worry about it. =P

I tried for roughly ten minutes to get the rope to take; eventually just used the fly cheat to get up there, lol.

And for me at least, the stalagmites spawned all smooth-like.

I've yet to pick up the grapple beam, but playing as Adon has been an absolute blast so far.
